Version 0.61b of SNEmul
Version 0.61b of SNEmul just released. Obviously, this is a small update. Here's what is new:

- fixed some bugs in SOUND RIPPER : but don't expect it to work with all MOD players. Especially notes are rounded with some MOD players and make the song play wrong, there's nothing to do about that..
- implemented a primary debugguer

4/29/98

Version 0.61a of SNEmul
Version 0.61a of SNEmul has been released. The biggest improvement in this release in the inclusion of a music ripper that can rip music from the roms into MOD files. Now that is fun. There are also other smaller improvements. You can find this version on the emulators page.

Version 1.00 of YOSHi's Nes-Tech Document
YOSHi released the latest version of his wonderful nes-tech doc. Still the great doc it used to be, and now with even more.

4/27/98

Full English translation of Mother
Yes, this is one of the few times when I can say FULL English translation. This game was actually translated officially pending a release in the USA. However, the release never came. Now, with the help of many people, one of the few prototype carts has been recovered, and dumped. You can find the rom at Neo Demiforce.

4/23/98

Version 0.6.0 of SNEmul released
With the latest version of SNEmul, sound has greatly improved, and there have been some other small changes. One of the biggest changes is stereo sound.

New Release of Super Dante patch and RPG Maker 2
KanjiHack has released new versions of their translation patches for the RPG making games. You can find the patches on the translations page.

Snes9x Problems
It seems the Snes9x team has come upon some problems. Here is the official report:

"I'm glad I didn't promise anything because it seems everything is against us, the DOS port has some unforeseen problems, the windows version is running but the compiler seems to screw up something which crashes the emulator when you load a few specific roms and after that it takes windows down with it. This means that both are delayed for an undetermined time =( This may be solved before I go on vacation, but it doesn't look like it =("

Version 0.393 of Zsnes Released
Yet another new version of Zsnes was released today!. This includes fixes for some more bugs and some other stuff. Here is what is new:

- Whoops! Forgot to remove the debug variables in v0.391
- Fixed another sprite clipping bug
- Fixed clipping in Mode7 16-bit mode
- Removed FPU Copy since it didn't seem to speed up emulation
- Added .USA and .JAP rom extension into the GUI
- Added Save SPC Data which saves the contents of the SPC700/DSP of the beginning of the next song (Future Reserved)
- Add Sound Buffer Dump which dumps the decompressed sound buffer as raw pcm. This can become quite inaccurate due to the way how zsnes stores its decompressed sounds.
- Added MenuItem Sound Buffer Dump into the F1 Menu
- Added MenuItem Save SPC Data into the F1 Menu
- Added a key to disable offset mode. Press 0 key to activate/deactivate
- Added small screen support in 640x480VESA2 modes. This mode should be much faster for those who use 640x480. Use the -c commandline to enable this when in 640x480.
- Added an option for centered small screen. Use the -cc commandline.
- Fixed up 320x240x65536 support for ARGB cards again. It now should be working. (No, seriously!)
- Removed some static from the sound.
- Fixed a bug in DMA from v0.390
- Fixed some sprite windowing clipping bugs.

Zophar and everyone else from Zophar's Domain for being the greatest emu site I've seen

theglobe.com with whom my emulators, utilities, and other files are stored for now.

And all the other people that have every so much as raised a finger to give something back to emulation.
