12:35 - WinUAE Release - Jandar
It's been a while since the release, but at the beginning of the month a new version of WinUAE was released. WinUAE is the Windows port of the must popular and powerful Commodore Amiga emulator currently available, and the latest available version is now 0.8.17R3. It can be downloaded from our Windows Amiga emulators section.

22:59 - Bannister.org bugfix mega-update - SirYoink
Richard Bannister has updated 17 of his emulators to fix a serious memory corruption bug which could occur on multiprocessor Macs. I'll update the individual version numbers in the emulator archive to reflect these changes tomorrow.

19:08 - AGTP Releases Cyber Knight! - Tempest
The Aeon Genesis Translation Proclamation has released yet another uber-l33t translation of an uber-l33t game. This one is for Cyber Knight, a SFC Strategy/RPG hybrid. This patch is version 1.00 and should translate all text in the game. The patch can be downloaded right here from our own file archive. Thanks go to Gideon Zhi himself for posting news of this release on our forum.

20:21 - Dragon Quest V! Fixed! - Tempest Finally, here's the real DQ5 patch you've all been waiting for! I'd like to apologize for the crappyness of the last DQ5 patch. My hd crashed not too long ago so I was using old back-up files/hacks and an old script which resulted in that crap patch released on Halloween. This release contains the latest script edit and hacking work, meaning mainly it doesn't crash anymore (nasty script code bugs), the text wraps properly in the dialogue window, the menus are more appropriately sized, the status ailments are nicely done and several other features. Also this translation is made according to Dragon Warrior standards (not Dragon Quest transliterated!), since most English speaking DQ fans would be more familiar with the DW naming convention. Before you go just crediting DeJap for this (since I know most of you never read the readme), this has been a largely joint venture between several people, mainly of Partial translations. I want to express my thanks to Neil_, his knowledge of DQ5 was paramount to the success of this project, and to Geechyguy for his script editing work, who I apologize for leaving off the credits on the DQ5 page. If you told Geechy you thought he was lying about working on DQ5, you owe him an apology. I'd also like to thank LordTech for the new font and all the help he provided over the past couple months. Thanks go out to Spinner8, Opoth, PlayTone and Big Weird for all their recent beta testing help and to all the previous beta testers and translators (there were plenty of them, not all listed in the credits).
Today is truly a good day. A far cry from Dejap's DQ5 beta released not too long ago, two final, bug-free Dragon Quest V translations have come out.

11:25 - Monstania in swedish - Scotcher
The swedish translation of Monstania was just released by GCT and can be downloaded in our swedish translations archive. It was translated to english by AGTP to english if you missed that translation. Yay to me (Yes, I was the project leader for the swedish translation ^_^)

8:50 - z26 Release - Jandar
Version 1.51 of z26, an Atari 2600 emulator for DOS, has been released, sporting the following changes:

0:43 - DeJap Releases Two Betas! - Tempest Star Ocean's dialogue has been completely translated and inserted, but some other small bits of japanese text remain untranslated, such as the printed text on a letter at the beginning of the game and the yes/no thought balloons. Also, the shop menu is garbled and the menus remain untranslated. If hearing this does not phase you, get the patch here and enjoy. Also forthcoming is Tomato's dub of the character voices, so look forward to future versions! Dragon Quest V is 100% finished, but problems remain within the patch that cause the game to crash at certain points. DeJap suggests using a savestate to bypass these points by playing through them on an unpatched japanese rom. Grab the patch right here.
I know these are the translations that many of you have been waiting for. DeJap has given us a tasty glimpse of their work-in-progress for two games : Star Ocean and Dragon Quest V. All of the main text for both games has been translated, but other things still remain unfinished.

1:16 - Demon of Laplace Release - Jandar
AGTP has released a beta version of their Demon of Laplace translation. The patch can now be found in our English translations archive, and also downloaded here. Thanks to Gideon Zhi for posting about the release on our message board.
