20:13 - RockNES updated! - SirYoink
RockNES hase been updated to version 1.810. I'm not sure what all's new, since I don't normally handle the PC emulator updates. But since the Mac 'scene' is deader than a "Ask ZD" board, I had to find something to update.

18:30 - RuMSX Updated! - Tempest
This MSX computer system emulator by Rudolf Lechleitner has been updated to version 0.23. Many bugs have been stamped out in this release, and other notable enhancements include the addition of Quicksave and Quickload features, bound to hotkeys. Try it out, and visit the author's homepage for specific information on what's new in this release.

18:08 - Partial Release, and Good News! - Tempest
Boy, has it been a slow time for news, or what? In any case, I've got some good news to share... =)

7:42 - gnuboy 0.9.5 - Neil Stevens

There's a new Game Boy Color emulator in town, and it means business. gnuboy 0.9.5 is here, and is ready for your compilation and enjoyment. Unix users should be comfortable with the familiar GNU autoconf-ed setup. DOS users can skip the compilation and download gnuboy 0.9.5 for DOS. Have no fear, Windows users, for the SDL code in gnuboy should lead to some DirectX GBC-ing soon enough, or right now if you're brave, and have the right development tools.

23:27 - Klepto Software Forced to Move - SirYoink
My site, Klepto Software, has been forced to move to a different server. The new URL is http://klepto.romhacking.com. Thanks to Neil and romhacking.com for agreeing to host us!

23:25 - FCE Ultra Release - Jandar
Version 0.52 of FCE Ultra has been released for both Linux and Windows. The latest version of this emulator has been added to our Windows and Linux NES emulators sections. Here's what's new in this release:

8:45 - z26 Release - Jandar
Version 1.43 of z26 has been released. It is an Atari 2600 for DOS, written by John Saeger, which can be found in our Atari 2600 emulators section. Here's what's new in this version:

13:30 - Breaking News! - Tempest
I hope the subject line caught your attention, because I have some really big news to share!

18:26 - Klepto Software Updates - SirYoink
I always feel weird writing about my own updates. Anyways, I updated the Legend of the Saiyans translation to version .82. New in this version are more script fixes, some more Japanese translated, and a routine which will allow me to expand the remaining item and character names.

15:53 - Swedish translation news - Scotcher
Well... Börje Productions, a new swedish translation group has almost translated Dragon Warrior 1 and are working on Dragon Warrior 2, Lufia, Seiken Densetsu 3 and Dragon Quest 5.
Bräkne-Hoby Translations has released some almost done patches for Blaster Master, Guardian Legend, Tennis and Section Z. And a new member has begun translating Bionic Commander.
And last, General CoolNES Translations has released a 100% patch for Tom & Jerry for NES. Yeah... it's not much but anyways...

17:05 - Xmame/Xmess Release - Jandar
Version 0.37b11.2 of Xmame/Xmess has been released, and it's available from the Xmame homepage. Here's what's new in this version:

14:07 - Tales Of Phantasia 1.2!! - Patrick Higgins
The hopefully last patch for Tale Of Phantasia was released this mourning by Dejap Translations! Actually Darkforce mentioned that if there are any bugs that they have still not fixed then it will be included in the bonus patch. Several bugs have been fixed in this patch though, like the item sorting bug, and some graphic glitches, and a whole bunch of script errors! So the game is fully playable and has been for a while now... so why the hell are you still reading this? Go play Tales Of Phantasia already! :P

18:18 - Final Fantasy I&II - Tempest
Demi of Neo Demiforce has released a patch for the rare Final Fantasy I&II rom, which was both games in one cart. Basically, the patch combines Demiforce's work on FF2 with the original Nintendo of America translation of FF1. If you have the FF1&2 rom, download this patch, and have fun =). Many thanks to Donut for this news.

NOTE : The FF1&2 ROM will not work in Nesticle. Try using LoopyNES instead.

12:03 - Final Fantasy IV 10th Anniversary! - Patrick Higgins
Yes, Final Fantasy IV was released one year plus a day ago :P And its still incredibly fun to play even today! So to celebrate J2e Translations released a 10th Anniversary Editon Final Fantasy IV patch! New in the patch is a cool new introduction screen and a big bug fix that caused copiers to screw up the games text. So now you can play it in all its glory on your SNES! So what are you waiting for!? Go get the patch and play it! PLAY IT!

11:56 - Tales of Phantasia - Patrick Higgins
Disnesquick released an alpha patch for Tales of Phantasia even though Dejap Translations have already released a near complete patch for the same game O_o Look! Screenshots!

Also ZERP updated with a new progress page for SD Gundam Knight 2! It looks as though they have hit a landmark in the project with 50% of the script translated by DDS!

20:07 - We're Friggin' Leet! - Tempest
...As quoted by Sheex, who just happened to update his page today =). His progress on Last Bible 3 is going steady and well, and his current task is to compile the kanji table for it. Hopefully we'll see some great progress on this game. Also, he mentioned that our own Patrick Higgins of SGST has volunteered to translate one of his older projects, Crayon Shin Chan. And furthermore, keep your eyes on Romhacking.com, as Sheex will be putting the finishing touches on his PSX Memory Card hacking doc, as well as writing another doc about something that hasn't been done before. Details other than that were sketchy =).

In other (but just as leet) news, Stealth updated yesterday, and he thinks he's found himself a new project! According to him, there is little to no compressed text in the game, so this project might be a go. Head over to Stealth Translations for more details!

13:26 - Swedish translation news - Scotcher
Nothing much, but the FF1 Translations has been updated to version 0.99 and Bräkne-Hoby Translations has relased a beta patch for FF3j and they also dropped their Pokémon Silver translation, but has begun translating Conquest of The Crystal Palace for the NES. Anyway, General CoolNES Translations' Tenchi Muyo RPG translation dropped from 98% to 5% due to a harddrive crash.

15:50 - Various News Bits. - Tempest
Yep, I've got translation news for you, but also a few other things that might interest you...First off, I would like to clarify for those that don't visit the web board. I'm NOT a new staff member =). Heero_Yuy_ and I are one and the same, but I've decided to change my alias because of an ISP switch, a change of email address, and various other factors. On to the real news! A welcome update. Prez posted news of some new progress on 3 of his projects. They are as follows :

Also, on a different note, Jandar, Airety, and I, as well as others on the staff, have been discussing ways that we could make SGC even better than it already is. Some very exciting and interesting ideas are being tossed around, which if implemented, could cause some very positive changes around here. I can't tell you for sure yet, but I for one am excited at the prospects that we've all discussed =). Stay tuned...

14:43 - Valecule Realesed! - Patrick Higgins
Some Good Shit Translations released a 100% patch for The Adventures of Valecule making it their first 100% release (Super Chinese Fighter Extreme was only 99% ;) Valecule is an action RPG for the famicom released in 1986 by Namcot. This game didn't have that much text in it at all so the translation only took a few weeks. This project was for educational purposes to teach Darian, their beta tester, how to ROM hack. But they might as well release it to the public. Be sure to try out the patch ;)

And soon we may see a release for Crayon Shin Chan.....

9:51 - Rudra's Secret Treasure!! - Patrick Higgins
BIG news for you today! They highly acclaimed translation group J2e Translations has joined forces with Tiger Claw from the dead Square Translations, Zalas from his own independent Rudra's Treasure project, and Oogami and PongAtari from Hiryuu Honyaku have agreed to translate the massive 640kb script! The translation is being re-done from the beginning and there is no patch from J2e yet. With all these highly talented members onboard I expect this translation to be one of the greatest ever! So far the introduction is 100% done and only 3% of the main script is translated, so overall this translation is 4% complete. J2e has made a Progress Page for the project so be sure to check it out! Here are a couple of screenshots showing some progress and a kick ass font!

Also today Stealth stated that there is no way in hell that he is translating Last Battle as he took another look and it was beyond evil. Heracles IV had text compression but he managed to decompress the graphics no problem so we'll see if this gets anywhere. And now he's looking at another game that he won't announce until he gets his Variable Width Font working correctly.

11:06 - Nobunaga's Ambition 2 Am Goal! - Patrick Higgins
Opus has released a beta patch for Nobunaga's Ambition 2 today! Akujin has now started to contribute to the project by finishing off the script and making a kanji table for the names of the commanders and countries! Everything is looking good, so look for a final release sometime in the near future.

The future of an english translation for The Last Battle looks bleak as Stealth from Stealth Translations has dropped the project due to the text being compressed. So now instead hes going to look into Heracles IV and see if that has compression. But I think I heard somewhere it does :/ Anyway, the script editor for Gulliver Boy needs some extra time to complete the editing. But it should be done soon now.

You may remember D-Boy making good progress with Hanagumi Taisen Columns just a little while ago... but now it seems that hes has encountered major problems and needs to find someone who knows SH4 assembler language to help him solve these problems. So if you know SH4 assembler langauge please email him and help make a dreamcast translation reality!

16:53 - Audio Overload 1.0.1 - SirYoink
Audio Overload has been updated to version 1.0.1, which can be downloaded here. The new version features the following changes:

Mmm... cut and paste Unordered Lists.

13:06 - Translation News - Patrick Higgins
Some news for you, I have!

8:24 - Snes9x Release - Jandar
The Windows port of Snes9x has been updated recently, to version 1.36. The Snes9x homepage, however, appears to be down at the moment. Much thanks to Retrogames for providing a download source for me to download the latest version of this emulator. I've placed it now upon our SNES emulators page. Yay!

19:35 - Another PSX Translation! - Patrick Higgins
From the same guy who translated Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams for us comes a 90% patch for Finger Flashing, a Playstation game that's supposed to be like Rock, Paper, Scissors or something.. I haven't tried it yet cause I can't find the ROM. So either head over to RIP Translations and get the patch or just get it in our English Translation Archive! Actaully its not even there cause I have to add a PSX section first. So just use the link above for the time being, mmkay? Heres a little screenshot demonstarting some translation work!

In other news today, Stealth from Stealth Translations has found his script editor guy and he should be finished in a day or so hopefully. Stealth then went on to update his sight a few hours later as he likes to do, to tell us that he has picked up another project! Its called The Last Battle and it looks pretty |33t. If Stealth can figure out the text encoding it will take off apparently :) So keep an eye on this one.

And heres some older news that I forgot to update on:

14:47 - FCE Ultra Release - Jandar
Version 0.51 of FCE Ultra has been released, and I've added it to our NES emulators section. Also, the Linux port has been updated and it can be found in our Unix/Linux NES emulators section. Thanks to EmuHQ for the news. Here's what's new:

4:24 - The 2:00am NEWS! - Patrick Higgins
