10:12 AM - Jnes Progress - Jandar
The Jnes homepage has been updated with progress on mmc5 support. CV3 is now working, and a screenshot has been posted to show off this advancement.

"It's no secret to those close to project who often do beta tests for me, that Jnes has had mmc5 support since the very early version of 0.21, but I couldn't release it because I had 'various' issues that were in the way for Cv3. I'm happy to now be able post a screen shot showing that these issues have been fixed thanks to the fact I finally rewrote my debugger and am now able to get deep into code and see things."

7:16 AM - Rockman/Forte Translation - Jandar
Yonin no Translators has been working on a translation of Rockman/Forte for quite some time, and the translation had been completed with the exception of a database part that was compressed and they were unable to hack. 5:38 AM - Notice about Gens - Evanidus
I just tried to play Warsong (langriser 1) on wGens 0.50. As many know, this rom have some layer problems on most genesis emulators which don't allow you to see many menus. Up to now and as I know, the only emulator able to run warsong with correct menus was Megasis for Windows. However, megasis is a slow emulator and not updated often at my disappointment. So, wGens 0.50 IS able to run Warsong correctly at a pretty good speed compared to Megasis. For people who still havn't tried Gens, do it now ;)

Note: don't email me for warsong rom

How does that happen anyway? Well anyway, hopefully we'll have a good time, and maybe I'll come home with a medal or two.
DS! (for those insiders among us, if any)

As promised, a new version of the NES emulator Pretendo has been released today, the first birthday of the Pretendo project. Version 0.10 of Pretendo has been added to our NES emulators page. It's been a boring day, and I was tired of looking at the Genital news, so here's a little brief public address:
I've been busy. Crazy busy. Yay. School in the morning, school in the afternoon, school in the evening, life is good.
I have, however, been working late into the night on several sections of the site, such as the utilities and docs sections. The utilities section revamp is well underway, and will hopefully be completed in the near future. The docs page will hopefully follow shortly thereafter, unless the stuff and things maintainer takes the job of updating it before I finish the utilities revamp. Anyway, those are some of the most exciting things going on right about now.

8:32 PM - Netplay Active List Added!!! - Airety
About three months I offered this idea out to feedback and generally people said, yes, it would be great to play multiplayer NES games through TCP/IP using NESticle 95. I decided an IRC channel would do it, but three months later we've made no progress in getting the IRC channel running, and so we try the ICQ Activelist.

The name of the list is SGC: NES Netplay, List # 69665051. I'll be running it along with Jandar, and possibly a few other people, and if I am not busy I'd love to play a few games anytime. Hopefully NESticle 95 still works; I recently upgraded to Win2k.

If you are having trouble signing up on the ICQ Activelist, post a message to the Message Board

10:59 PM - OK, I think we can end this now.. - Jandar
It was somewhat fun while it lasted, but (quite obviously really) we've been having some April 1st fun around here. Quite honestly, I didn't really plan it out at all. I had planned for months to do the "Airety's Domain" change, but everything really happened because I turned my back for the day. Unfortunately, a few things got somewhat out of hand, and I would like to apologize to anybody who happened to catch Airety's Underworld before I pulled it down (heh). So I think we'll end the glee club party now, even though I know I will be hearing from Airety about ending his reign an hour early. Anyway, let's get on with life. No, I was not Plightro.

9:46 PM - A letter from the big Geek - Airety
    Yo!

I am back from my long vacation, about three weeks. I only grossed in $57 from the banner ads, but that was enough to buy my a ticket in a crate of string beans over into the Bahamas. Once their I realized I still only had $57 and immediately got $57 to spend on strippers. Once I was poor, I snuck onto a cruise ship in Roseanne's anal cavity and when you she had her back turned (ha) I jumped out and continued to eat everything on board. I then flew back in a crate of tarantulas and returned to my loving SGC position.

Immediately Jandar offered me the website, as Jandar has been taking drugs. They're called "hot chica". Being as though I am lazy, I appointed Plightro as my servant to update while I was sitting around thinking of excuses as to why I don't update. He did a wonderful job. But he's not lazy, and our hits haven't increased the slightest bit. We want productivity at this domain, not idle hands. He's a loser so I am firing him. Die f00.

I got plenty of e-mail while I was gone, the one I sent to myself was all I got actually. It will take me about two months to sort through, so I will have to refrain from updating until then. I will reply to each and every message, don't worry.

I'd like to take an oppurtunity to thank everyone for visiting our website. As many of you may be aware of, most of us are teenage college students with very little money, and because of your support we're able to keep our focus on the website and not on a pizza-busboy job that pays $3.00/hour when we could be updating about a new NESten! While I'm far from financially secure, at least I know that I'll be able to get through another month of bills because of everyone's support. Thanks for making my life easier Zophar. Hopefully if I copy and paste that to the end of all my updates, I will be going to Cancun in a month or two!

Thanks for visiting ZD, and get ready for a nice updating spree, courtesy of me! :)

Thanks for visiting AD, and DON'T EXPECT A NICE UPDATING SPREE I AM STILL LAZY.

    Send checks to: Airety's house.

    5:04 PM - ZD Hacked?!?! - Plightro
It looks like ZD has been hacked. A mysterious series of posts, emulation related, have apeared on that site. We'll have more information on this story as it develops.

    4:11 PM - Noxigen reborn!!! - Plightro
Remember Noxigen? It's the nes emulator that was said to be fake because the guy wanted people to sign up for some service so he could make money (You know as well as I that no emulator author would ever do that unless the emulator was real, right?). Well, he handed the project over to his brother!!!! Yup, so now we should all go over there and show our support, right? Can I get a YAY for free enterprise?!?!?!

    4:04 PM - Ultrahle a virus!!! - Plightro
Some guy on an irc network called dalnet going by the nick "Guest20573" sent me a message saying that ultrahle 1.0 contains a virus that's set to erase all the n64 roms on all it's users hard drives on april 2nd! It truely is sad when people would write something like this for such a bad purpose.

3:57 PM - Translation of cryptic Geeknews hack!!! - Plightro
In my last post, I said I couldn't understand the stuff on the geeknews page. I got an email message a few minutes ago from a guy named "n4rk0t1cz" who translated it for me. It's aparently in something called "l33t sp34q" What follows is a rough translation from "l33t sp34q" to english. Thanks again to "n4rk0t1cz" for the translation!!
"When I look at geeknews with my posse, it makes me sick to my stomache. You don't give the allmighty penguin that we must bow down to the credit he deserves. You must bow down to tux. He is your god now. While my boys are speaking in pig latin back at slapdash(slash dot maybe?) I thought I'd hack my way into here and use my obviously superior intellellect (I use linux, that makes me smarter by default.) to spread the good word of tux, the penguin. I don't really remember why I rant and rave about Linux anymore, I think it has something to do with freedom. But yeah, MS sucks, Linux rules doods! nerds > geeks"

    3:37 PM - GeekNews hacked!!! - Plightro
Some lamer hacked geek news and left a post with lots of numbers and stuff that I can't read. It's truely sad when someone would do this to a site. That's just my two cents though.
    GeekNews

    3:38 PM - DragonQuest 7 - Plightro
The Gia is reporting that Enix of Japan is suing Jay Leno because he stole the face of one of their characters. What a stupid company.

3:28 PM - Yo Yo Yo, thx 4 da dough - Plightro
Hey. Plightro here. I'll be posting mostly rpg, pc, and random crap, nothing emulation related. Why am I here? Airety hired me before leaving on a vacation in the bahamas, curtosy all the banner money you guys helped him make (keep on clicking)! If you have any questions, email them to Airety. He'll get around to answering them in four months. By then there will be a total of about 4 emails, and he'll post a message on the page apologizing for his absence and saying that he'll respond to the 400 or so emails he got while he was away. Peace out!

    3:09 PM - congrats airety - Jandar
