Final Fantasy 1 Save State Editor Coded by Noize version 1.0 This program is used to cheat in Final Fantasy (oh, don't kid yourselves. That's what you're doing.). This is accomplished by (duh!) editing the Save States generated by NESticle. It is unknown how this program will react to save states from other games, or other emulators, so use it at your own risk. History: This program started out as an idea from discussions between Noize and The MadHacker back before the summer began. The MadHacker had already decoded some of the information in a .sav file, and we were looking for a way to put it to use. This save state editor is one result of that work. The first version was was written in Qbasic 1 and displayed the character name, level, and class. The date on the files show it to have been written on April 16, 1998. Since then it's been written in Visual Basic. This program has actually languished for several monthes on just a few computers, in an almost finished state. But some prodding by the MadHacker finally convinced Noize to finish it. Which is the finished product whose readme you're probably ignoring right now. Using the program: Most of it is pretty self explainatory, but if demand warrants better instructions will be written up. Map coordinates have not been implemented yet (and ultimately may or may not be), but just about everything else is. The only thing which seems to need remarking is that, when selecting equipment, the check boxes indicate whether an item is equipped or not. Final details: Bug reports, comments, etc. can be sent to Noize care of The MadHacker (tdennie@hotmail.com). The information was decoded by The MadHacker and Noize. This lousy readme was written by The MadHacker 3 hours after he was supposed to be asleep (so he could wake up bright and alert for work). All coding was done by Noize. That's it. Have fun, cheaters.
